Demo – Inspired by Flowers by Yvonne Blacker

The Lynnfield Art Guild (LAG) is presenting a demonstration by Yvonne Blacker, “Inspired by Flowers: Pressing, Preserving, and Botanical Art Making” on Thursday, September 18th from 7:00 – 8:30 pm via Zoom. Please see Yvonne’s botanical creations at: yvonneblacker.com.

This demonstration is open to all members via invitation; prospective members are encouraged to join the Guild at www.lynnfieldarts.org to take advantage of this and upcoming special artistic opportunities, including free attendance at all live and virtual demonstrations and the ability to display art, network with other artists and show pieces in our popular exhibits.

Yvonne Blacker is a graphic designer and botanical artist who creates nature inspired works of art for fabrics, wallpapers, and print-on-demand products, often featuring florals that she hand-picks from her own backyard gardens. Her online shop DuckPetals.com showcases her custom collections along with a curated selection of farmhouse themed goods. She teaches both in-person and virtual workshops that focus on encouraging creativity such as floral arranging and creating art with flowers. In addition to the Art Guild where she serves as Co-President with Heidi Reynolds, Yvonne is also an active member of the Village Home & Garden Club of Lynnfield where she coordinates their annual spring Art in Bloom event at the Lynnfield Public Library. She has lived in Lynnfield for over 20 years with her husband John and their four sons. This demonstration aligns with one of her goals as Co-President, by showing what is possible when it comes to creative careers and helping to inspire creative journeys.
