Lynnfield Art Guild Announces May 9th Arts Festival Ribbons and Awards
The Lynnfield Arts Festival 2026 was a wonderful community art day celebrating our 62nd year. Thanks to our many volunteers and supporters, visitors enjoyed a fine art show and sale, bake sale, art vendors, and great raffles.
It is the Lynnfield Art Guild’s pleasure to announce the Judge’s: Robert Frascella, Andy Levine, and Laurie Schmidt’s choices for ribbons and awards: For Watercolor there were first prizes to Ruth Clark Snow First Shower and William Deveney 1st and Howard Street, Second Prize to William Deveney Arches, Third Prize Anne Rogers Waiting for Spring and Honorable Mention Lorraine O’Brien Walking Path. For Oil First Prize Jeanne Corbett EveningSerenity, Second Prize James Ryan Fishing Shack, Third Prize Dan Abenaim March 26 and Honorable Mention Dan Abenaim Now What. For Acrylic First Prize went to Diane Barton Unheld, Second Prize Maya Jacob Surya Worship, Third Prize Laura Newman Shades of Black & Gray, and Honorable Mention Heidi Reyolds A Whale’s Dream. In the Mixed Media Category First Prize Beverly Cook Shake Your Body, Second Prize Sandra Lockard Shadow, Third Prize Brian Edmonds Leaf, andHonorable Mention Angela Addonizio Between Steps. In Photography First Prize Sue Collins Where The Shade Falls, OBX, Second Prize Sue Collins Before the Descent, Third prize Shaila Desai Cascading Joy and Honorable Mention Catherine Grassello Winter’s Magic. Beverly Cook won the Jeanne Rose $100 Award for Excellence with her mixed media fabric art Shake Your Body.
Lynnfield High School students won the following prizes for Student Art: First Prize Sophomore Thea Splansky, Resting with the Sea (acrylic), Second Prize Junior Phoebe Lambros Will there be a Ring on this Finger? (oil pastel), Third Prize sophomore Jordani Paul Sheets (graphite, textured paper), and Honorable Mention Junior Kiara Alarcon Hair and Glue (Prismacolor).
