Inspiring Presentation by Jeff Klapes, which should have been titled “Artistic Photography while you Travel.” Jeff presented a wide selection of “fine art” style images from his extensive travel destinations showing his tremendous sense of composition and color along with finding interesting and compelling images. Jeff commented that the location is seldom obvious to others in his images, but each for him captured the feeling and memory of each of his travels. Jeff’s images were well organized into sections by Landscapes, People, Color, and Black & White, each providing varied examples stretching each category definition. Jeff’s images consistently showed the value of understanding good light, structural composition, color palettes, emotion, and timing including a fair bit of whimsy to make his and hopefully our images more interesting.
